I have been doing low carb off and on for several years. Trying different things. If I shoot for 60 gm carbs a day, can I pretty much eat what I want to and still loose weight? For example, Its lunch time and I have eaten 50 carbs. If I shoot to eat another 10 for the rest of the day, will I still be able to loose weight? I have the need to keep things rather simple or I get discouraged. I dont have a computer at home, but I have my carb counting books. Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Vonnie
Eat within reason. Eat meat, fish, with some fat, not too lean. But you lose the most weight if your calories are still within reason. Keep some foods like olives (filling but low calorie) to snack on, you should not be hungry. If you are not hungry, don't eat 1 lb of meat, stop at 1/4 lb.

For me, I need to spread my calories/carbs throughout the day. I eat 1/2 between breakfast and lunch and the balance for dinner and night snacking. I feel comfortable eating in this pattern. And like you, I need to keep things simple and this pattern simplifies how I control my daily menu.
