Default Charles Clark High Protein Diet

Hey guys, new here

Does anybody follow this plan?

I am starting it in the next couple of days and just wondered... I know you get 40-60g of carbs a day but when you eat so-called "unlimited" meat, fish etc, do you count their carb content within that 40-60 limit? Eg: sausages have carbs don't they?? Or am i all confused? :/ xx

UK sausages do have carbs but these are from the rusk/wheat/starches added to most british bangers as fillers. Does your chosen diet allow grains etc?

I am doing this one at the moment and due to the fact that chicken beef fish etc does not have any carbs in it.. so you dont neet to count. Some cured meats to so always check in your carb counter because it is to be included in your daily amount. Good luck

Elizellen - thank you & no it doesn't include those.

Madge52 - thank you for your help, just out of interest do you eat nuts? my two friends do this diet but they snack on brazil nuts all the time & still lose HOWEVER they have much more weight to lose than I do, therefore I am desperate to do it right, I know Charles Clark says 100g of nuts a day is fine but it's ALOT of calories (over 600) and I've seen some people say you shouldn't eat more than 10 to 12 times your body weight in calories :/ xxxx

I think that '10-12x body weight in lbs/cals' stems from lowfat dieting rules.
Lowcarbing does not seem to stick to the same calculations as far as I know.

I stay very clear of nuts because my "Stop" button is broken lol. I would love to add them to my reciepes but then I eat a handful whilst preparing it!!! So no I dont. I do eat linseeds to help with constipation as I believe it helps with fibre but they dont really count as nuts. Hope this helps good luck xx

hi yes l am following this diet only been on it couple of days some people at my workplace have been on it with great results... l am still bit confused like you although it says you can eat untlimited meat fish poultry.. i am confused about finding hidden carbs... wanted to make a pork dish today used all ingredients permitted but added a knorr stock cube for flavour said it has 0.4g carbs per 100g ... how do you work out whether you have gone over your 40 gram limit...

You could use the My PLAN feature (link at the top of the page) to log all your foods and it will do the calculations for you.

Thre is a special forum here for advice on how to use it.
