Default Hypothyroidism and Dietary Fat

Does anyone here know if consuming higher levels of fat while low carbing will improve thyroid function, generally speaking?

I've done a lot of research on this as I have a hypothyroid. Depending on the answer you want you can find studies that prove it. Funny huh? Even the same studies can be viewed differently based on what you want the end result to say.

Most know that with hypothyroidism there are certain foods you should avoid. With lchf diets, what it comes down to for me is the type of fats you are consuming. Polys without doubt cause thyroid issues if none are present and can exacerbate current issues.

Here's a good article on this subject with several studies - http://perfecthealthdiet.com/2011/0...nd-the-thyroid/

As long as your fats are mostly saturated or mono and not poly it seems a LCHF diet would be optimal for thyroid function.
