Default i had a woosh, what started it?

I was lucky i saw a post about swooshes or wooshes when i started researching the diet originally, then promptly forgot about it. I had been losing nicely,(male 53, 89kgs) 7kgs in 2 months, then hit 82kgs and stopped. Over the next week it started creeping back up, finally reaching 82.8. Yesterday i felt fantastic, jumping out of my skin with energy (which i couldn't exercise away, due to work...) and after a restless night i weighed myself, 81.5, 1.3kgs practically overnight.
I had been exercising but due to being very busy i had a week or so off, i was slightly stricter if anything with my diet during that time, but nothing really different..
Did i drop out of ketosis? if so why?
Was it the lack of exercise?
or is it just a weird thing....
Tell me your experiences even if you don't have a full answer please.

That's great I noticed that too a bit and I have a couple of ideas. I've read about some people saying exercise stalls them or makes their weight go up for a while and I have a couple of ideas.

1. Increase in muscle mass - they may have gained weight but it was probably muscle and I've heard muscle weighs more than fat. And I would much rather be fit than skinny fat.

2. Water retention - I've read that with building muscle, tiny tears are patched up to become stronger and uses water which can show up on the scale and then disappear later on.

3. Increase in appetite, increase in calories - Exercise may increase your appetite, and I do think that you should feed your body enough to do it but not so much that it undos the exercise you've done.

4. Just normal weight fluctuations

I think you probably had a combination of #1 and #2 and I had a similar experience too . I'm in the cross country team and we have practice 5-6 times a week, so I've been expecting my weight to go down a bit but instead it stayed about the same and sometimes even went up! I just figured that my appetite probably went up and I've been eating more too, but when weekend comes or I have a break and eat normally, I actually have kind of like a whoosh and drop weight.

*Hmm just noticed that you posted this weeks ago but I saw it in the most recently posted list so I thought it was still new.'Anyways, hope you're still doing well.
