I just found this website. I have done LC before with good success but have gained it back each time. The last time I did this I went from 280lb to 203lbs in Oct 2014. I am starting again now at 298lbs. Any advice would be great - in the past I was a daily weigh guy, which seemed to work well for me. I am flying to South Carolina in October to play golf and my goal is to stay true to the LC lifestyle from now until that flight and of course after as well.

welcome. I was nearly 500 at my highest. did lc down to 300 then started gaining. back up to 420. Had WLS and went down to 234. (you LC after WLS) well a lot of bad choices and I woke up with a guestimate of 375 to 380. That was 6.5 months ago. I am down 90 pounds and doing great. The bifggest thing for me is that this time I have used intermittent fasting (IF) and it has been a great tool. lots of folks here add IF. best of luck. and stick with it.

Welcome aboard.

My only advice would be: never stop. Think of LC as less of a diet and more like your new normal. Make it a way of life. For anyone who asks me why I can't eat whatever, I just tell them I'm carbohydrate intolerant and most are pretty accepting of that.

Weighing daily is fine. In my experience, you're at your lightest just before breakfast, so go by that number. At the same time though, don't get too stressed about little ups and downs; as long as the overall long term trend is moving in the right direction, that's what really matters.

Good luck!
