Default PCOS & Menopause

does PCOS go away at menopause? I think I am starting to go through menopause, but it is hard to know, as when I was younger, my periods were often, months & months apart. Once I lost a few pounds, ( in my early 50s, they became more normal, time wise, than ever before ( I was getting them about once a month. ) Now I am 55 & expecting it. I am still getting unwanted hair growth, but the growth on my hairy chest seems to have slowed down considerably.

No, unfortunately. I am perimenopausal, and was told that the hormone issues will always be there. Namely insulin. Which insulin is the root of the cause of pcos.

thank you. I was recently diagnosed as being diabetic, but I am controlling it by diet. It seems to be all part of the puzzle.
