Rachel - Get out a pen and check FT3 yourself. A lot quicker.

Friday, Kaiser does not even have a box for either TT3 or FT3 on the lab slip. I guess this is because these doctors do not believe that some people cannot convert from T4. When I asked my doc to test FT3 he had to write it in and sign on the form...if there was a box I would definately check it myself.

Hi Rachel,

If you're concerened about the cost (I think Grellet is quite high), you might want to contact Dr. Jill Snyder. Her office visit was $195.00 and she spend over 90 minutes talking to me. She has an office in So. San Jose (Santa Teresa and Bernal) and also in Morgan Hill. You can pm me if you'd like her number. I was able to get in with her very quickly, I lucked into a next day cancellation. And she put my on Armour based on symptoms and very low FT3 numbers, which so far has been a massive improvement for me.

I'd go see Grellet in a heartbeat if she was on my insurance plan, just based on the references for her. But that is a bit too much money out of pocket for me at the moment.

Hmmm I wonder what endo you went to. My Ft3 was also very low in comparison to FT4. My endo told me T3 was a worthless test!!! Least I found a doctor would actually prescribe something for me

Good Luck!

Hi Rachel

I just found this thread after searching in Yahoo. I have the same problem as you do while I am on Armour. Just wondering if you are better now and what you have been doing to try to get there.

Thanks.
