Default Cholesterol - is it too low?

Just got the results of my most recent health check back today.

Age: 32
Total Cholesterol: 154
HDL: 62
LDL: 89
Triglycerides: 32

On the one hand, it's nice to show that eating eggs and butter isn't raising my cholesterol. On the other, I've read that cholesterol under 160 can have its own set of problems. What do you guys think?

ETA: The more I'm reading about low cholesterol, the more worried I'm getting. How lovely.

The rest of my immediate family has cholesterol levels over 200. I don't know if that's important.

In women, HDL levels are the biggest factor in terms of heart disease, heart attack, etc. Triglycerides would be the next number to take into consideration. The rest are really not very meaningful towards indicating a problem. With HDL, higher than 60 is GOOD. Triglycerides should be 150 or lower...yours are way low, which is also good (and typical with a low-carb diet).

I wouldn't worry so much.

I wouldn't worry about it. Lots of hunter/gatherers have lowish LDL cholesterol. I suspect it is just one marker of many that doesn't mean anything taken out-of-context.
