Default Cheat-free work week

I seem to be stuck. I need to have a few cheat-free days to get me going again. My weaknesses lately have been wings and the ever-nagging nut butters w/honey. I do best when I have three moderate meals of meat and veggies only per day. Snacks do me in.

Anyone else out there on a plateau? Anyone care to join? Remember, misery loves company (at least for a while).

I'm on a plateau--at least as far as the stupid scale is concerned--I'm still losing inches. I'll join you. Snacking messes me up as well.

Thanks for joining in. Let us know how it goes. Today I can proudly say I've done well so far, but then again, only one mealtime has passed.

B-fast: 2 eggs, 1 slice bacon, romaine lettuce.

And I vow.... herb teas with stevia instead of snacks.

I thought I was over my salted/roasted nut addiction and brough home shelled pistachios. Lets just say I'm NOT over my pistachio addiction. I ended up eating so many my stomach hurt and I couldn't eat a proper dinner.

O, gawd, that sounds so familiar. For me it's walnuts and pine nuts, usually with some kind of nut butter. Not this week!

I'll join you guys!! I've been a little lax/lazy lately too (mother's day picnic, yikes!). So far today all I had was some squash soup from the hot bar at Whole Foods, so I'm on track. I bought tons o' veggies for the coming week...now I just gotta eat em.

I'll join in - been eating too much for a month now! Denise
Eating leftovers at work from last week:
B: hamburger patty
L: hamburger Patty/1 oz almonds
D: not hamburger (planned) LOL

Would like to restrain my calories to ~ 1500/carbs up to 30.

Ah shucks, I'll join in too.

For me the definition of "cheat free" is to stay away from truly bad foods and not overeat the ok ones. Hopefully the pistachios will remain hidden in the freezer for much of the week. *Makes a ward against evil in the direction of the freezer* I still feel kind of bloated and yucky from all those danged pistachios.

Great, so I'm not all alone...
Yes, NancyLC - stay away from those pistachios. You can do it! I plan to avoid the kitchen altogether when I get home today, which is my weakest time (5:00-ish).

Had an "okay" lunch:
Salad with: iceberg lettuce (not my fave, but all they had at my company's cafeteria), onions, olives, broccoli, 3 strips crumbled bacon, ranch dressing.

It is at times like these, when I decide to clamp down a bit, that I'll begin some compulsive/obsessive thinking. Like, "Man, you could have done without those salty olives on that salad." Or, "Ranch dressing? Who are you kidding, Fat Boy?"

No, I'm not hearing voices. Just negative self-talk that I learned long ago.

I'm sticking to induction for at least a couple more weeks, so it will be nice to have company.

Be well!

Boy, that pistachio bloat is hanging on! I got blood-sugar hungry this morning (i.e. blood sugar dropped, but stomach felt bloated and full). There's a bolus of pistachio mass trying to work its way through my system... What a visual.

Me! Me! I'm in.

Meat, veggies and fruit. Max 2 fruits, when one is a serving of berries. 1 serving of nut butter per day. Coconut oil and coconut milk. That's it. 3 weeks.

My new goal allows indulgences only one week a month, and all the ladies know which week that is.

Other than my unusual breakfast (before I joined this thread) my day has gone smoothly with my eating. I post my menu daily in my journal so I won't repeat it here--but I like the added accountability of promising others I won't snack.

Bat Spit, your self-imposed food guidelines sound yummy to me.

I did great today!! Very happy with myself for once. Paleo, LC, and got enough calories in for a change.
