Grains, sugars and vegetable oils require industrial processing; dairy requires agriculture to support a herd of cattle so they're out. That leaves meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, nuts, vegetables, and fruits -- none of it processed. No preservatives, artificial flavorings, etc.

I got a used copy of Neanderthin on Amazon.com. Very good. I've read some other 'Paleo' stuff that is not very low carb. I'm not sure about adopting all of the aspects of Neanderthin as permanent restrictions, but I thought it was a very good approach to LC.

I've heard that Dana Carpender is coming out with a Paleo cookbook soon.
