This 4 ingredient Cranberry Sauce showed up on Pinterest this morning...uses Erythritol. Seems a lot to me...I would start with less, and add more orange zest and spices, but an alternative to the Splenda recipe above.

My cranberry sauce is the simplest of simple: equal amounts cranberries and water. Bring to a boil, boil till they're popping. Then add 1/2 the volume that the cranberries were, originally, of sugar, or the equivalent in sweetener. (2 cups cranberries, one cup sugar or equivalent.)

Turn heat down to low, simmer 15 minutes, turn off heat and let cool a half hour before refrigerating.

What do you do with the pits?

Cranberries don't have pits. You must be thinking about Cherries.

No pits. Teeny little seeds that are too insignificant to worry about.

I always plan a special brunch - something we only have once a year like smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a lemon cream (bit of zest and juice with sour cream), so we are full for a good portion of the day (we eat late).

Snacks: devilled eggs, homemade marinated mushrooms, clean (sugar-free) prosciutto (if you want to be fancy, do something like bacon wrapped shrimp or bacon wrapped asparagus, baked zucchini logs - love parm and Italian herbs on this).

Meal - turkey (we brine and smoke ours)
a gravy that is not low carb (my diet plan allows - but I am sure there are some great low carb for say a mushroom gravy with wild mushrooms that could have plenty of flavor)
mashed cauliflower
green salad OR a spinach-cheese casserole
asparagus or bacon thyme Brussel sprouts (lots of nummy recipes out there for roasted Brussel sprouts)
for dessert - find George Stella's recipe for pumpkin flans. No crust, he uses an artificial sweetener and the flavor - pure pumpkin pie minus that crust

Oooo...stuffed mushrooms - can be vegetarian if needed, use a good homemade sausage (I love playing with plain ground pork to make various bulk sausage varieties), even a seafood stuffed mushroom - have done in past, nummy.

spatchcocked turkey, roasted veggies with fresh herbs and a good seed oil..
cauliflower au gratin, homemade gravy made with drippings and xanthan gum, or other thickener of your choice, and whatever else you need, for your carb-up friends.

Hmmm, I bought a package of cranberries the other day....

DietDoctor posted a Cranberry Sauce recipe yesterday made with Unsweetened Applesauce. More carbs but no Artificial Sweetener. Pick your poison.

DIetDoctor has added many new recipes this year, so now they can post the entire Thanksgiving meal. https://www.dietdoctor.com/happy-low-carb-thanksgiving

The desserts, including Pumpkin Pie, do not use any artificial sweeteners. Even a fat bomb recipe does not use AS, only cinnamon and cardamom.

This is great! Too many recipes use a lot of AS, which only keeps me wanting more and more sweet stuff.

I fell into lowcarb heaven at a Friendsgiving event over the weekend. My friend brought a collard green dish that was the best thing on the table! It was just bacon, onion, collard greens and heavy cream topped with parmesan cheese and baked. IT WAS SO GOOD! I am definitely adding that to my completely LC Thanksgiving plan this year! I am so excited to have a meal that is totally on plan this year. Thanks so much for all of your awesome advice!

I had a mini eureka moment - making my recipe for savory citrus pepper oopsie rolls for Thanksgiving brunch, and previously have used a parchment lined baking sheet. Now in my new house with larger oven, I can use my muffin top pan instead for 6 uniform rolls
