Has this ever happened to you ??

I talked to a Nurse today that went on the Dr.Atkins diet and she said it caused her hair to come out . She said that when she would run her hands through her hair it came out in wads. Have any of you experienced this?

LCing does not cause this, angdan. Any diet, and more specifically, any rapid weight loss or sudden stress can cause this to happen. The effect (hair falling out) usually happens 3 to 4 months after the traumatic event (rapid weight loss). It's quite common and quite temporary.

There is a great thread with some good external links that explain just what is going on and how to best supplement your diet to help speed the regrowth.
