2months and 18 days. Saving £70.00 a week. Weight gain 2stone 2lb and look like a weeble. It is worth it as my skin and teeth look great. I no longer smell like or live in an ashtray and i will lose the weight.

I kinda quit a lot at once. 4 months ago i quit: living on my own, smoking cigs, smoking pot, doing drugs(choose not to say which), breaking the law, hanging out with my druggie friends, and eating carbs.

Replaced the old habits with running, hanging with family and talking, going to the gym, and military training

gotta say that quitting all at once was the most stressful, depressing, horribly, awful, worst thing ever!!!.....BUT it did get better, i AM happier now than ever before, and it was SOOO worth it.

So glad to have quit smoking(and others), breathing is so nice now lol

4 days in! Cold turkey on nicorette gum (was an addict) plus tobacco, using supplements to raise serotonin levels whilst I do this has been MUCH more successful. No panic attacks this time around. Haven't been sleeping but I don't care about any of that. Finally realized that the only reason I want to smoke is because I'm addicted to nicotine - duh. So sick of being ripped off by Nicorette and fighting the cravings - so decided to let them be there and eventually things will go back to normal without being screwed over by some company!

Congratulations Loops! The first 10 days majorly sucked then it got much easier. It'll be 2 years on June 23rd. So glad I quit!

Last month was my 12 year anniversary of being weed-free after 40+ years of smoking. I finally learned that breathing is at least as addictive as nicotine, and is way more healthy! Now I wish I could kick the asthma/chronic bronchitis meds necessitated by all those years of mistreating my lungs.

I'm so happy for all the quitters and I wish we could convince all the still-smoking folks -- I feel sorry for them!

Cool congrats to all the new non-smokers

I quit dating 24 years ago, stopped drinking 23 years ago, stopped smoking 21 years ago...I am very good at stopping something, but have problems modifying my behavior and compulsions regarding food...couldn't of done any of these things without a 12 step program, and a very patient sponsor!

I was a pack a day for about 8 years and I tried to quit many times. I got a really really bad cold that honestly didn't let me smoke for about a week. I was so distracted from being sick that I never noticed any symptoms. After that I figured I already had a good start so why buy cigarettes? It's been a month without cigarettes today. : D
