Hmmm I've had a look in a few shops (Coles, Safeway and Sims) and haven't seen it. I might give Bi-Lo a shot or maybe a well-stocked servo.

I've found the Gold Medal brand ones at a coles in Ashgrove - Brisbane.

I have also emailed the manufacturer for a list of distributers. I'll let you know how I go. If they are reasonably priced, I'll buy a heap of them, I love them. Definately need a drink with them though

Thanks!

I still haven't found them but then, my Coles has slowly been deleting lines - they no longer stock Atkins except for the bars, shakes and Ranch dressing. And I don't see any point in those.

I've heard they can be good for cooking too

Ooh I completely forgot about this. Ahh I sent an email to the manufacturer and they supplied me with a mobile number for a local distributer in Brisbane. I suggest you send them an email to find out where you can get them locally. I haven't called the guy yet so I don't know how much a whole box is going to cost

They do the Pork Krackles and Porky Bits. They both seem to be the same product, except Porky Bits only seems to come in small bags.

I tried some asian brand pork crackle and it was not too flash. No flavoring at all. Gold Medal is definately the way to go. www.goldmedalsnacks.com

I think I'm going to have to contact those Gold Medal guys. I've gone to all the supermarkets around here and can't find it. And when I ask someone they always show me to the jerky (or the pork sausages). Hmmmm....

Maybe if I went to an Asian grocery shop I might find some?

Guys, check out those 'Nut Shak' stores.

You know the ones in shopping centres that just sell nuts. They have bags of pork rind chips now!

Thanks LC Dave. I got all excited when I read that post as I hadn't thought of it. I went to a nut shack today and they didn't have it, nor did they know what I was talking about. They had these wheat ham-flavoured things but that's it.

I sent an email to goldmedal yesterday and received an email today, saying to check Coles and Safeway. I emailed back with the specific Coles and Safeway I'd tried and management said they didn't have it and don't know what it is. I asked him to be more specific when he says which shops to try (in a nice way of course )

I might give up soon, I've never spent this much effort on trying to find a particular food lol. I might stick with almond flour

Woooohoooooo! Found it! At the second Safeway shop the Gold Medal snacks guys recommended (the first were sold out and didn't have any more out the back). I'm over the moon!

And thanks everyone for putting up with me harping on about this hehehe ... sometimes I get determined lol

Pork Krackles are full of MSG so if you are allergic please take care.

Great point to make!

I've just bought a bag, ground it up in my morter and pestle (however u spell that) and have a meatloaf in the oven as we speak!
I used the ground pork rinds in place of the breadcrumbs in the recipe (of a lc cook book!)

Anyone else got any ideas for this versatile food?

Default Porkrinds in Tassie..

Not sure how many Tassie people are one this forum but Im absolutely addicted to Pork Krackles!
There are 2 kinds Ive found in Woolies, Pork Krackles and Nobbys Porky Bits..
Nobbys arent zero carb though!

I'm moving to Surfers Paradise in less than 2 weeks so I only hope I can find some there!

I've been able to get the Pork Krackles at most of the woolies I've been to.

Hmm, I really should update my stats.
