Good luck at the dentist. You're brave to have all 4 done at once.

I don't think too many TSP followers include protein shakes in their programs. Dr. S. doesn't recommend them.

If your interested, however, you might want to try the Atkins board. There are threads regarding shakes. There might also be some recipes on the tab above.

Hi aces!

Here are a few links to protein shake recipes and discussions.

Protein Shakes

I use plain whey protein powder. water, frozen strawberries, yogurt and half an avocado. You can't really taste the avocado and it makes the shake very thick.

You can also eat pureed soups - cauliflower and chicken, mushroom and chicken, or beaten egg cooked in chicken broth and then pureed, or soft tofu pureed in chicken stock.

A homeopathic remedy that I use before and after dental work is called Arnica. It really speeds up the healing. Natural foods stores will carry it.

Hi Karen,
I have a question for you,
I have some plain whey protein concentrate from the health food store, but I dont know how to figure out what the carbs are.

The package is like bulk but packaged by the healthfood store itself.

500gram package says it has 35% protein and 1%fat but no other information.

I havent been able to find out how to calculate carbs for plain whey powder... how do you do it?

thanks,
j
