Default Warning - Carb Options

Just thought i would let those who use net carbs know that "Carb Options" carb amounts listed on the nutrition panel already have the fibre deducted from them, so 18.1 g carb per serving on their breakfast cereal is net carb. Which is really quite high. I heard it somewhere and emailed the company and they emailed me back confirming that this is so.

Hi Jenni,

Just FYI, all Australian products have already had the fibre deducted. Just as all items mentioned on www.dietclub.com.au have had the fibre deducted. It is the same in the UK, and I suspect may be the same in many countries other than the US.

As for the Carb Options, yep, not too low carb.

Cheers,

Rosebud

Does anyone else notice that ALL the Carb Option products have a really sweet taste to them? Even the ketchup - tastes so sweet in comparison to "regular" ketchup.

I agree, the cereal I have found is oversweet almost to the point of being sickly.

I like the icecream personally, but I only have one scoop at a time (I guess around 100g) and crunch up an atkins low carb chocolate bar on it. Tastes creamy.
