Default Netrition?

Anyone ordered from Netrition.com? Did you get hacked at the border with duty/customs etc? I'm looking at placing an order, but I'm always terrified of paying a ridiculous amount of money at the border.

Any help?

Sweetleaf stevia, peanut flour, maltitol crystals, and a whole bunch of supplements. I hate online shopping, but have little option as I live in the middle of nowhere. I can't even buy organic or grass fed beef in town. Was also buying a bunch of supplements, as my only options here are shopper's Drug Mart and Walmart... no classic 'health food store' anywhere...

Yikes. The stevia there is $16, it's $9.5 at Netrition... as of right now, Netrition is the only site on and for which I can find everything I'm looking. (I admit, I'm spending a ton for an extra edge as my bday is coming up quickly, and weight has not been shifting... that and I think and feel my dopamine has been low...)

I'm sure as a Canadian you already know it depends on WHO they use to ship.. if it's UPS. then YES you will be dealing with extra cost. I think if it's under $19.99(CAD) you don't get charged anything.. but after that expect big $$ in duties If it's USPS/Canada post.. It could go either way, but if you are changed it is less.. It's really random with USPS/Canada Post.. just depends if they pull YOUR package out at customs. But with the $ the way it is.. I think either way probably worth your money to order from netrition

Define big bucks please. If I save $5 per bottle of stevia by going to netrition, then even at an additional $30, I'm breaking even... the site says it is 'global international mail'...

I think that is USPS.. so IF it gets pulled to the side by customs it is tax + 9.95$ broker fee I think.. UPS is like $20 I think for broker fee + duties + taxes

Any idea about fedex? I'm thinking of sending it to my parents, then having a friend drive it up.

I will NEVER order from Netrition.com again. They are insanely rude. They own a low carb forum but they don't tell you that, they claim they are sponsors. The mods are actually Netrition employees. One of the rules of the forum is that you can't mention any other place that sells products and supplements, if you do your post will be deleted.

Today I tried calling them and I was hung up on. I called back and asked for the name of the woman that hung up on me and I was told by Frank, the office manager that it was none of my business.

I will never use them again. I'd find something local instead of wasting your money.

Wow! I've been buying from netrition for years, and they've always been extremely nice to me. I'm in the U.S., though, so don't have to be concerned with extra charges, etc.

Maybe things are in a state of flux over there, since Tom passed away.

I don't know and don't care. There was no excuse for what happened today.

Is his brother, Bernie, the president now?

I've been buying from there for 3-4 years, even after moving to Mexico I have it sent to my friend's house in CA and when I see her I pick it all up.

Now I'll be finding a new source.

I always order from LowCarb Grocer in Toronto. They are very helpful and pleasant, and if there is something in particular you are looking for, just ask! I was looking for a baking blend that was not listed on their site and they could actually get it for me and ship it. I didn't go ahead with it but they were most helpful. I am always cautious when ordering from the states. If it they ship UPS, watch out. UPS stands for "unreasonable pricing system". :-)
