Yay, Jill, that is awesome that you're showing!!!

I'm sooooo ready to be done with the pregnancy brain. lol There are times that I feel like I'm in the early stages of dementia. Terrible. I take care of our family's finances and I have to write everything down in a calendar because I have forgotten so much. Ugh But, the worst is the grocery store. If I don't have a list, I will literally walk in the door and stand there trying to remember what I came for.

My energy has gone right out the window. Like, seriously. It's all I can do to get out of bed most days. I take my prenatals faithfully along with calcium and DHA, so I know it's not that. So, I've just been chalking it up to being pregnant.

It dawned on me last night that I still haven't gotten one single thing for this baby. We got rid of all our baby stuff, including clothes, after our last child. Stupid, stupid mistake. I'm 11 weeks from my due date and no clothes, bed, car seat, etc., for baby. Guess it's time to get my bahooky into gear and get thing bought. lol

whoo hoo for shopping for babies!!

my sister was getting rid of a bunch of baby gear when i found out i was pregnant, so i've got almost everything i'm going to need.

i'm waiting to find out the gender before i start buying sleepers, and outfits adn stuff like that. i cant wait!

i see baby stuff on craigslist adn freecycle all the time and have to restrain myself from getting even more stuff that we probably dont need!! i think the only big thing i still need to get is an ergo.

I got two baby carriers/carseats and a stroller from my sister, two bouncy seats, a swing, a bottle warmer, some baby boy clothes, a few swaddlers, and a Bumbo seat from a friend who has a 6-month old little boy, a crib with changing table and dresser from another friend...the only things I think I'll need to worry about for myself are a breast pump, a pack n play (which I may also be able to score for free from a friend of a friend), and some diapers! And thank goodness for generous friends and family since Jeff is not having any luck in finding a new job since he got laid off a few weeks ago :\

That's the way to do it.......hand-me-downs!!! My SIL just had a baby boy on Nov. 10th so I think she got all of those from my side of the family and there are no babies on my hubby's side. Boooo LOL I did find a maternity/baby store where everything is gently used. Their prices were very reasonable so I think that's what I'm gonna do.

I totally can relate to this. I schedule myself for work since I am a per diem nurse. Every shift I scheduled will be while we're gone on vacation. How the heck did I do that? I had to beg people to switch with me, and am working the longer and the more undesirable shifts to compensate for the switches. TINY BABY BRAIN!

Jilly- congrats on showing and for scoring so much baby gear!
eriksgirl- good luck with the baby shopping!

Hello ladies! I'm new here, but desperately trying to get my weight gain on track with baby #3 on the way. I've already gained 20 lbs and I'm only 18 weeks along The only thing that helps me stay in control of my eating habits is low carbing which I do when I'm not pregnant, but for some reason the moment I find out I'm pregnant all my self-control flies out the window with my energy....boo. I totally know what you mean, Jill, about the energy. Thats part of my healthy eating problem. I'm too tired to prepare food! I'm so thankful this forum is here! I look forward to sharing ideas and support with you girls!
