I've only been LCing for about 3 weeks, and it hasn't affected my short runs of 3 to 5 miles, but I'm worried about some races I have coming up of 9.3 mi and 10 mi. I used to eat a pasta dinner the night before, now I'm not sure what to do. Any advice or suggestions?
Hello JZ and it's nice to see another runner here in the forums. I have been LC for about eight or nine weeks now losing the weight so I can race again. I do not have any personal experiance with racing LC yet but I will on the 16th.
I have just started running again after 10 years off. I put on about 65lbs over my race weight so I am taking things slowly. So far though I have lost 25lbs and I will be adding to my mileage in another 10lbs. I will be running a four mile race on the 16th and I will not add any carbs before. I want to expirment with how it feels to race LC.
FYI: We have a great thread going with a bunch of runners in the BFL(body for life) portion of the exercise forum. Stop by and introduce yourself. The heading is Marathon Runners but All runners are welcome.
