This is my first attempt at joining a discussion forum for help with dieting. I am a 36 year old mother and have decided I am going to need some additional help to get the weight off. I lost 40 pounds using Atkins last year and unfortunately gained it all back. I am ready to start the process again, but with support. I know I feel better when I kick the carbs and I am looking forward to feeling better again.

Having a support group is one of the keys to long-term success. Welcome to a good and friendly place.

You've already had success with Atkins, so you know how it works. Most of us have had our starts and stops, too. If you're patient and dedicated, you'll find your way to the state of mind called "maintenance." That's when Atkins stops being a "diet" and becomes a lifestyle.
