Timed Static Contraction (TSC)

Has anybody given it a go and if so what are your experiences.
I use free weights and have previously tried max pyramid (John Little) but found it to be a bit difficult on my own. For TSC, I select a weight that I can hold for around 90 seconds. If I can't hold it for 90 seconds then I reduce the weight a bit and vice-versa. The position I use for the hold is based on Bill Desimmone's books.
