Default savory bacon/oregano/dill/parmesian tartlets

So , I had to come up with a quick appetizer for Easter this weekend. Looked through some of the threads and someone had made a dill and parmesian mock danish. I ended up thinking about that recipe and came up with the following. They were a big hit and SO good as leftovers!

1 package of cream cheese
4 eggs
1/2 tbsp oregano
1/2 tbsp dill
4 strips bacon, cooked, drained, and finely chopped
1/4 cup grated parmesian

Preheat oven to 350. Use non-stick mini muffin pans or spray with Pam.

Warm the cream cheese in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until slightly soft and easy to mix.

Using a blender or a whisk, blend all ingredients. Try not to let the cream cheese be ultra-lumpy.

Spoon the batter into the muffin pans (I used 2 pans with 12 each), leaving about 1/4" of space near the top.

Cook for 15 minutes, pop em out, let em cool a bit, and enjoy!

What size package of cream cheese did you use?
Have you tried them after being in the frig?
I think these would be great as a quick breakfast.
I am going to make them as soon as you tell me what size cream cheese to use.
Thanks for the great recipe!

This recipe sounds fabulous! I've been looking for something I can make to have on hand for breakfast or a quick bite.

If I have enough cream cheese in the fridge I'm making this TONIGHT!

oh, I just used one of the regular-sized blocks. 8 oz, I think it is?

Not yet! they never made it that far!!

I polished them off after they were sitting around for about 6-7 hours (before and after easter luncheon), so they were pretty cold. I imagine that they'd be fine after sitting in the fridge, with maybe a little microwaving for 15-20 seconds. Hopefully, I'll get to test that out this weekend!

I made these last night to have for a hurried breakfast this morning, and they were great! I don't have mini muffin tins, so I used my big muffin tin and ended up with maybe nine of them, and they're all gone. My Husband and daughter liked them as well.

A very tasty dish!

I made a batch of these and they disappeared quickly, so I made another full batch with this recipe and one each of the following

Smoked salmon, dill and red onion
Red and green peppers and garlic

I wrapped them and froze them and they are great as breakfasts on the run, just pop in the microwave to defrost/heatup and they are amazing...

Thanks for posting this recipe - they are beautiful!

Default Mmmmm!

These mini quiche type things were very tasty! I will definitely make these again and save it it my recipe file! I did make one change since in the middle of making it I discovered I did not have parmesan so I made them with cheddar instead and vegetarian bacon.

Thanks for the recipe!

Wonderful recipe, delilah!

I fixed the recipe and pour it into 2 muffin tins (12 total.) Then I added salmon to each compartment. Yummmmm. Goodness ensued!
