Question Christmas Cookies

I'm trying to find recipes for cookies for Christmas.
I was wondering:
Is there any low carb ones for Macaroons?
Is Almond paste just almonds or does it have sugar?
Unsweetened coconut, Is it possible to buy it?
Any recipes would be great. Cookies were such a tradition.
On a off note: what do you leave for Santa?

There's a recipe for cream cheese and lemon macaroons in my recipe section.

Here's one I found a while back that looks good.

Default Santa

Lessara, Would you believe me if I told you I leave a note for Santa to tell him to meet me upstairs??

Actually, it's been awhile since we've left Santa a treat, but my kids used to leave him some of their favourite cookies!!

Default Christmas "cookies"

I am trying to find ideas for x-mas "cookies". Cooking has always been a huge part on my holiday tradition and I dont think my 5 year old and hubby will appreciate anything made with the protine isolate. Anyone got good low carb christmas cookie recipes to share? Thanks!

Sharon, You are so funny!

Thanks for the cookie recipes! I have changed some traditions, we are having steak and eggs for Christmas morning instead of cinnamon Rolls

Just to let you know, I made the Almond Cookies from here. They were pretty good!

I rolled the dough into 1-inch balls and pressed a whole almond into the top to flatten them out, then brushed them with egg wash to make them shiny. I also used a combination of Sugar Twin and Splenda. The recipe made about 48 very tiny cookies.

In case you're wondering, I merged snkhoward's thread about Christmas Cookies with the thread Lessara had previously started.
