Default Hi I'm Liz

Hi I'm Liz from the Netherlands.
Been doing Atkins since october 2002, but it does not go that fast.
Going up and down, also due to the temptations of the christmas holidays.

I have seem to hit a plateau at around 180 lbs. Want to break through. What did I try:
- Drink more water. Tried to up it to 6 liters, but I can't get past 4 liters per day.
- Try to shock my body with a cleaning diet with only fruits and veggies for 3 days (helped a bit).

I would like to try the Body-For-Life approach if the exersize is not too long per day. I like aeribics, dancing and have a step machine.

I don't like the stomach exercizes where I have to lie on the floor (I guess you call them stomach crunches), does anyone know some alternatives standing up? I have some serious love handles that I want to get rid of. Any further advice how to get through this plateau are very welcome...thanks in advance!
Bye, Liz

HI there Liz Welcome to the forum and congrats on doing so well! Plateaus are annoying, but they hit most of us at one time or another. You'll find some great advice on getting through them in the "Tips and Stalls" section of the forum.

We also have a BFL section that you should have a look through - there are quite a few of us doing BFL with LC eating. You'll find a lot of support and great advice in that forum.

As for those ab exercises; there are a few listed at this website you could try:

seated leg raises

Seated twists

side bends

Check out some of the other exercises as well - you might find a few you like

Cheers,
Nat
