Default Time to Make it a Way of Living/Eating

Hi, my name is Lucy. Im a 27 yr old mom who lovessss food. I had my son a yr and 9 months ago. When he was about 5 months old, I did Atkins and lost all the weight back, and then some! But now its back, and then some! In the past, Ive done Jenny Craig, which was successful but got really boring. Plus, my husband and I eat out a lot, so it wasn't very ideal. I LOVE the Atkins diet, its actually really easy for me to do....the hardest part is getting starting and overcoming the withdrawals, thats where I mess up. In the past few months, Ive tried "starting" many times, unsuccessfully. Im currently unemployed and find it much harder to stick to the plan since Im home. When I was teaching, my schedule was so packed that I didn't think of eating, it was more like I had to eat, and since I packed healthy lunches I would do really well. Im hoping that by regularly posting my progress, it will keep me motivated. I would LOVE to lose 50 pounds, but for now, Im aiming for 30 (which is more ideal and realistic). WHEN I reach my first goal, we'll go for the other. This site is very motivating, so I plan on logging on just about every day. Im also going to write down what I eat for the first week or so until I am over the witdrawals, that way I feel accountable for what I put in my mouth. Im excited to make LC a way of life, not only to lose weight but to also stay farrrr farrrr away from diabetes (which runs in the family). Well, tomorrow will be the day.......here I go!

Welcome! You are in the right place! This site is very supportive, motivation, and inspirational. I'm fairly new too, I've been back in the LC lifestyle for about a month. Temptations are always around, the best thing to do is to get them out of your house, if possible, if not, get them out of your sight. Hide the stuff in a high cabinet.
