Default Magnesium by bath

Does one absorb a good amount of magnesium through the skin in a nice hot bath? I use a mixture of epsom salts and dead sea salts (about 400 gms of each) about 3 times a week. I LOVE the long soak and always feel really good afterwards but I was wondering how effective this is as a form of supplementation?
Incidentally, I take a magneisum supplement in the evenings - amounting to about 300 mgs. I have type 2 diabetes and suffer from joint/muscle aches and pains.

Yes, Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate) is absorbed through the skin. I also soak 3x per week. If you didn't absorb it, it would be like soaking in a plain bath.

Too much magnesium orally results in a laxative effect, so soaking is a great way to relieve the inflammation.
