Well, first, welcome to the forum!

I wish I had some magic words to motivate you to lose weight, but I don't. There really isn't much anyone can say that will work until you are really ready to do it.

You did so well quitting smoking! That takes so much willpower! If you can do that.. when you're ready to lose weight, I don't think you'd have much trouble sticking to a diet plan

Best of luck!
Morgan

Wow, congratulations! And welcome. This is a terrific forum with very knowledgeable and caring people. A good place to start is the Success Stories thread. It amazing what so many people here have managed to do.

Cheers--

For me this WOL is so much easier than quitting smoking. In fact, I smoke more now than I did when I started. You did a wonderful thing for yourself by quitting. This is a daunting task, learning to re-train yourself and change habits. Imagine if you had to smoke to stay alive? Well you don't but you DO have to eat to stay alive. You can do this. You really can. You have to want to but look at the great accomplishments you've already made. Give it a couple weeks and you will notice such a difference, you will wonder why you waited so long. Start a journal and write out what you are thinking. It's a good way to get out all that crap that floats in our heads. Keep reading here and posting and pretty soon, it will feel normal. Just like being a non-smoker. Good luck and write often.
