Default Sounds gross, but it's good

I can't really put this on the recipes board, because I don't think it constitutes an actual recipe, so I thought I'd share it here. I've been wanting something sweet; I'm not going crazy for sweets, I just want them once in a while. Well, I put two tablespoons of whipped cream cheese (1g. carb) in a little dish, and emptied a SF Jello (cherry flavored) on top of it, and I eat little bites of both the cream cheese and the jello. It may sound gross, but if anyone liked cream cheese and jelly sandwiches as a kid, that's what this tastes like! (Minus the bread.)

Default Sounds good to me!

Your recipe looks like it would taste great! I wish that I could eat your recipe, but I am staying away from chemical sweeteners, except a small amount of xylitol and lots of Kal Stevia.

I need to find some jello and pudding recipes that does not contain the chemical sweeteners, like Splenda, aspartame, and acesulfame potassium.

After reading the dangers of chemical sweeteners on www.mercola.com, I am staying away from them for good! It's a sacrifice, but at least I know that I am not injesting chemicals. I converted a long time Splenda fan (my Mom) to using Kal Stevia as of yesterday.

Unsweetened kol-aid! Brilliant! Why hadn't I thought of that for a thousand things? Thanks!

YOu can also by gelatin straight and sweeten with berries and stevia if you want. It's sold right next to the jello in the stores.

That does sound good, i may try it. I was making little sandwiches out of pepperoni's and cream cheese earlier this week. They were so good.

I sometimes sweeten a couple of tablespoonfuls of cream cheese with a drop of liquid sucralose (Sweetzfree) and mix a sprinkling of cinnamon in with it. Very tasty!

have any of you tried this recipe? I put it in the other site I'm mostly in (everythingatkins.com) a couple years ago:
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 pint heaving wipping cream
5 - 8 packets Splenda (the less the better for me - or Liquid Splenda which has no carb count - hey, mebe Da Vinci?!)

In one bowl whip the cream cheese until smooth.
Do the same in another bowl with the heavy whipping cream. Add the two together. (The Splenda - or any other type you may like - can be added at any time)
Eat now or refrigerate.

Instant gratifacation when the need for sweets take me to the edge

The carb count comes to about 15 for the whole kit and kaboodle! (less with Davinci or liquid splenda)

When I need something sweet I mix cream cheese with sugar free cocolate syrup and put a little bit of ready-whip on top. Tastes like chocolate cheese cake to me! also the other day, I mixed some splenda with sour cream and some cinnamon, it was FANTASTIC. You just have to find a legal way to satisfy that demon sweet tooth sometimes. I don't like sugar free candy because of the stomach side effects!

I use plain gelatin with pureed berries and stevia, or kool aid as well to make my own jello!
