Default Feeling really hungry, but not hungry.

Today is the first time in a week that I have even thought about eating carbs in the bread sense.

Not sure what is up but was just wondering if someone might iknow why I think I am so ravenious even though I just had dinner , and I am not hungry.

Here is my Fit Day link.

Thanks. I will take any help I can get.

I think its normal to think about old familar food. I usually right that urge by making some low carb crackers. I use Linda Low Carb Recipes to help me through it. She has a Deep Dish Pizza that is induction friendly. I try to find allowable that would meet that craving. Sometimes I just think about it and let myself feel proud of not giving in to my craving.

Thank You for your response.

I have been so happy that I have felt full and not wanting any of the old stuff, that it kind of threw me for a minute.

Thanks.

Sometimes those cravings manifest themselves as dreams-- I find it often indicates you are losing some weight.

This happens to me a lot. For me it's an emotional hunger urge that I recognize - like a comfort/feel good thing. Try to resist - the urge WILL go away - I promise. Good luck!

PS: Sometimes PMS plays a role in it too!

My husband and I noticed this phenomenon several years ago. "My brain is full, but my mouth is still hungry". If I thought about eating more of what I had for dinner, I could gag, but if I thought about eating something toothsome like cheetos, I could strap that thing on like a feedbag and go to town. So, yeah, totally not hungry, but just wanting to eat more. I think it's odd to be full off of so little food. Yes, yes, even if you have a plate full of veggies and a slab of meat, in the grand scheme of things it's still NOT that much food, just a lot of bulk. Mike (the ball and chain) and I would be sitting there after dinner, looking at each other...."mouth hungry... brain full... must think about something ELSE!" If it was overpowering, I'd whip up some strawberries and whipped cream. That usually squashed any residual not so hungry hunger pangs.

Anyway, I'm feelin' ya!

Julia

I was hungry thirty minutes after eating todaIty and yesterday. A person told me that my bodies matabolism was speeding up and that's what happened. He said it was the perfect time to start strength training.

I'm not sure if that is the same thing though as what you are talking about, because I was actually hungry even though I had just eaten plenty.

Some days are just like that, I have them too.

Your Fitday info looks good, although I'd suggest adding a custom food for the candy using data from the actual wrapper rather than using"Dietetic or low calorie candy, NFS". Also if the candy contains any sugar alcohols you may or may not experience cravings from a rise in blood glucose, especially if Maltitol is present.

L-Glutamine is sometimes suggested for carb cravings. Might be helpful.

For me, I have to pay attention to whether it's real hunger (stomach hunger) or if I just want a little something (mouth hunger). Or if I'm mistaking hunger for boredom, irritation, stress, thirst, etc. And carbs start sounding really good when I'm tired or have had a bad day, more out of habit than anything else I guess. The whole "comfort food" thing. I try to have LC alternatives available. For example, some cream cheese, a little cocoa powder and some Splenda takes the edge off nicely. Followed by lots of water!
