Default Coffee makes you stall?

Coffee makes you stall?

Could anyone tell me if coffee makes you stall? I love coffee and it suppresses my cravings for sweets. But could this cause problems with stalling? Has anyone experienced this?

some say that caffiene can cause blood sugar to spike so it is possible coffee could cause stall.

I had a cup every morning and utill I quit i couldnt lose. I replaced it with two water bottles in the morning (had to stick it out through the crave for coffee though). Now I use a cup of coffee every now and then and not every day. I am moving along alot better.

Ah Crap!!!!! That sucks!!!!

Well... maybe decaf won't stall me. I guess I'll have to experiment a little. But thanks for the feed back!

i drink anywhere from 1-3 cups a day and so far have lost close to 60 pounds. i don't think it's the coffee itself that can cause the stall but the stuff you put into it. i use heavy cream (3tbs) and liquid splenda (0 carbs), a days worth of cream is around a 1/4 c. for coffee. if i'm not careful with other things such as vegetables i can fly over the 20 hence not lose very fast. but black coffee shouldn't cause a stall.

I can only use decaf about once a week or I experience water retention the next day.

Atkins indicates that for some people the unleaded will cause the same insulin release as the leaded. It's the taste that sets the insulin release off.

Try the unleaded and see if you have the same issue.

Everyone is different. I have had 2-3 Cups every morning. I dont use decaf either. I have had my ups and downs on the scale but over all, I dont think it has hurt me. I have gave up so much, I would really hate to give up my little bit of coffee in the mornings. I also switched from nutrasweet to splenda but I only use 1pk per cup.

I gave up caffeine as a cure for PMS rather than having a hysterectomy at 34yrs, i still have the occasional cup of decaf with heavy cream and i do really enjoy it but i know if i drank more than that i'd be bloated the following day.. I think its a case of try it for a week and see how you get on

I still drink 1-2 cups in the morning, and 1-2 cups at night, and I put cream and liquid splenda or Da Vinci in every one. I refuse to give it up unless I absolutely have to (and even then, it would be a fight). Would I lose faster if I didn't have it? Maybe, but I'm happy the way things are at the moment. It's my wake-me-up, and my after-dinner sweet.

So yeah, like everyone else has said... YMMV. You need to figure out what works best for you.

I've drank it all through my weight loss. It's been a major help in taking the place of putting something in my mouth.

I know everyone is different, but coffee is the one thing I did not give up. I drink coffee all day, every day without a problem. However, that is me

Just test it out and see what happens, that's what I did, and it seems to be working fine. I may lose faster without it, but I don't want to find out at this point. No one around me would want to either

I normally try and avoid it the first few days of Induction & thats when I loose the most rapidly (about 7lbs). However I'm not bothering this time as it's my only treat & I'm really struggling not to run down to the shop & go nuts buying wine & munchies!! I only drink 1 cup in the morning with cream!!
