Default What are your favorite eats/recipes?

What are some of your favorite recipes or snacks. Personally, I love grilled shrimp with seasoning and fresh lemon juice. I also love pickles, they have zero carbs. Another thing that I enjoy are those low carb tortillas, with cheese, chicken, and low carb slasa. They are great!

Yum, all those sound great. Snacks--hard boiled eggs (sometimes I mash them with either mayo or butter), cream cheese rolled in a thin slice of ham, string cheese.

Crab legs are my favorite food, baked fish with lots of herbs and lemon juice, bbq brisquit. I love pepperocinis, avacados and scallions on my salads. I like to mix scallions and real bacon bits into my deviled eggs. Hmmm... miso soup. Cheese sticks cut in half, dipped in egg wash, rolled in parmasan cheese, fried in a pan til brown, voila - LC cheese sticks, got the family hooked on those.

It is hard to choose because I have a mono food personality. I will eat the same thing for months and suddenly start eating something else that I would not touch before.

steaks... good, thick, juicy, tender steaks. last time i went meat shopping, i got way too many chickens and not enough steaks. it just sucks that the steaks cost twice what the chickens do.

Carnitas (fatty pork roast) or pork belly cooked in lard with farm fresh eggs. I also enjoy the tilapia baked golden brown with seasoned mayo and Parmesan sauce.

Hey, Mike, I have seen several posters here mention "pork belly" - what the heck IS that?

I've noticed this, I use to always hate any color of pepper but since starting lc almost 2 weeks ago, they suddenly taste good!!!

Chicken wings slathered in butter and herbs, baked until crispy. I just pulled a pan of them out of the oven. They are divine.

Wow, that looks like really thick bacon - YUMMMMM!!! I am going to have to look for that! I have to be so careful with bacon....I could eat a whole pound for dinner! One question - do you fry it up like bacon?

"Heart Attack On a Plate" -- 1/6 to 1/4 pound pork sausage fried (not drained), scramble 2 or 3 eggs in with it, add cheese to top. Slide out of frying pan onto a plate, top with avocado or guacamole (I'm really enjoying the 2-lb guacamole tubs I bought at Costco) when available, and salsa (fresh, if possible) to taste.
