Default beer addict!

Hi all, I'm a 32 year old man, I have about 100 lbs to lose. I'm very un-fit, I have high blood pressure, and I'm afraid I'm going to have a heart attack soon if I don't do something. I tried Atkins once before with measurable success, but I fell back to the evil of beer. For all the good intentions in the world, I fail to keep low carb every single weekend when I go drink tons of beer. I'm not sure how to deal with this.. any ideas are appreciated!

I also have lactose intolerance and IBS-D. The IBS I can keep in check by not eating a lot of dairy and avoiding aspartame, but I find it very hard to stay atkins compliant without cheese and cream sauces.

As a large guy, I also have trouble staying full on atkins without blowing my carb limit. I will happily eat 3 chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, fried in butter, and served in a cream sauce, and 20 minutes later I'll be eating cold cuts and cheese. I drink 2+ gallons of water/day, but I just can't ever get full.

Anyhow, nice to meet you all, hope to make a low carb change.

Cheers,
Chris

on induction, eat if you are hungry, just stay under 20 carbs, and use them on veggies, eat all the no carb meat it takes to keep you full, no beer on induction, so for two weeks, none at all, after that look for a no carb drink if you must drink, but remember that it may slow you down. Most hard liquer is o carb, so mix it with a diet cola and you will be ok, but your body will burn the alcohol you drink before it burns your fat, so try not to drink much or often, and beer has carbs so try to stay away from it, its too easy to overdo it.

Remember alcohol has twice the effect when doing low-carb! I sometimes partake of Mich Ultra, but my limit is 3 which can be hard to do sometimes. Too much drinking will lead to dehydration on this diet, so be sure to supplement with potassium and drink plenty of water. Don't drink fast and don't drink on an empty stomach.
