Default Good protein mix shake recipes?

Hello:

I googled this but came up with very little.

Anything else to add to protein shake mix besides the fruit and fruit juice?

Thanks!

My favorite is cream, 1T unsalted butter, 1T coconut oil (melt the 2 fats together) 2T almond butter, almond extract, a smidge of salt, and 2T flax meal. Plus a cup of water, and as much ice as your blender will allow.

A mix of cream and water approximates milk very well. I'd never use fruit juice.

Actually, vanilla protein powder is pretty good mixed in the blender with flavored soda. Just make sure the lid is on tight!

I use s/f sodas such as diet rite raspberry or strawberry kiwi and sometimes I add in some coconut milk and strawberries. You could also use some davinci's to sweeten it up, if you like it sweet. The carb countdown milk or calorie countdown I think it's called now works very well also for a change from cream. I made one the other day with the s/f dr pepper berries and cream soda and surprisingly, it was pretty good. I did add some strawberries to it just because I like them so much.

If you do a google search, try looking for smoothie recipes and then you can low carb them with stuff you like.

Freeze coconut milk in ice cube trays and add a couple cubes.

Could probably puree fruit and do the same

I freeze chunks of banana and add one to mine, occasionally

Psyllium Powder

Ricotta

Yogurt

Unsweetened Soy Milk

Tbsp Cocoa Powder (might need a little sweetener if you don't like it too bitter - taste first)

obviously - water instead of milk or cream, if you wish

cinnamon, ginger, or whatever spice you prefer
