I drank V8 on South Beach Induction, but that's a whole different ballgame from Atkins Induction. Are you strictly doing Atkins? I think you have to check the carbs on the V8 and see where it falls and maybe you could incorporate it as long as you keep your net carbs at 20g per day. Dr. Atkins does not specifically say drink V8 like Dr. Agatston does. Do you have the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book? You need to read it if you plan to do Atkins.

Welcome and if the V8 isn't okay for you, hopefully you can find another alternative. Good luck in your journey!

6 ounces of V8 has 8 grams of carbs, but almost no fiber to slow down the insulin spike. It's also high in sodium. It might do once in a while (like at the movie theater from your other post) but there's not much to it for almost half your daily induction carbs.

V8 contains carrots and beetroot, so isnt an Atkins induction-legal choice!!

They make a low-sodium V8, but in doing so they take out some of the sodium and put in SUGAR!

A V8 per day isn't going to keep you from losing weight. In my view, a single V8 is well worth the price of the carbs for it's proposed benefits.

Basically, an 8 ounce V8 contains tons of vitamins at the cost of only 50 calories and 10 carbs. Can't beat it!

Well, it's definitely legal on SB Phase I. I got rather sick of the stuff myself.

I love V-8 juice. It is one of the things I missed a lot while doing Atkins. Now I drink it about once a day. Both V-8 and regular tomato juice are allowed on South Beach. That is one reason I switched---that and more veggies are allowed on SB.
And anyone who has read my posts knows what a veggie lover I am.
