Default Camping / Fishing Tips...help?

Okay so I just got back from a 4 day camping and fishing trip...I did well for about 2 days but then once we started fishing (we were dip netting out on the Copper River in Chitna, Alaska) it was so hard to keep good food around to eat on. So I eventually caved-in when I was starving and stuck on that rock and had to eat a stupid sugar filled granola bar for strenghth. This turned into a 2 day binge....

It's super hard with the wind, rain and having to climb down a super steep hill to get down to this river. The problem is that this fishing spot is super hard to get to as the hill to get down to the spot is about 1/16 of a mile long atleast, and it's STRAIGHT down hill (rock). Once again going up this hill (rock) is like climbing a slippery ladder and it's super tiring and exhausting. Needless to say I scarf whatever I can because I'm so tired and famished....

I suppose my question is, does anyone know of anything dry that I could eat while I"m down on this rock fishing again this weekend? I know I'm not supposed to have nuts during induction...but this would be ideal...along with ATKINS granola bars ( i realize some people say they cause weight stalls) but I'm in need of some ideas that are dry that I can package and don't have to worry about spoiling, keeping it cold or hot and messiness....hmmmm

any ideas.... Thanks in advance!

pepperoni, salami, cheese sticks, celery sticks, all those things keep well unrefridgerated for a time. couldn't you take a small insulated tote with you? are you down the hill the entire time? or do you come back up the hill to camp? if you had an insulated tote or a backpack with partial insulation, the parmesean chicken or tuna patties can be cooked ahead and travel well as well as hard boiled eggs and precooked chicken breast. all are sturdy and travel well.

Jerky (homemade is best), pork rinds, brazil nuts, walnuts, or macadamias (not strictly allowed on Induction, but very low carbs and better than granola bars!), single-serving baby goudas (the wax will keep them fresh), canned sardines (don't need a can-opener, can eat with fingers).

Single serving tuna packets, the kind that come with a mayo packet so that you can mix it up in to tuna salad, would be good. I also agree with the jerky, salami, pepperoni, cheese stick etc. suggestions.

An Atkins bar may not be the ideal food, but they can be great to have around to avoid the sugary ones and will keep you from beating yourself up too much about not being 100% strict. You can also bring a sushi chef down with you and have him prepare fresh salmon sashimi! Yum!

I would go along with the macadamia nuts suggestion. They are a little higher in carbs than a steak, but they are very calorically dense and a small baggie of them should provide enough energy to keep you going throughout the day.
