Default birthday cake telling me to eat it!!! help!

Tomorrow is my birthday and the people at work bought me a huge cake, did the whole candle, song thing. And I managed to take a piece, hold it during the "chit chat" after the singing, not eat it and now have the piece back at my desk. My willpower is caving. I haven't cheated in sooooo long. PLease help!!

Default pitch it!!

Quick poor water on it and pitch it. It is so not worth it, Happy Birthday by the way!!

Don't do it. You will feel worse if you do and then have a sugar crash. Not fun!!!!

I tossed it. I knew all along what i SHOULD do. sometimes when the weight isn't coming off (as it hasn't been lately), it's hard to stick with the program. i'm in a frustrated stage, so it makes it easier to give in. thanks guys!

Good for you!!! When I'm tempted, (our office LOVES o make up reasons to have cake), I remind myself that a few minutes of pleasure really isn't worth taking two days to get back on track. I literally look at cake and the like as a two day interruption.

It may be a LITTLE exaggerated, but it helps keep things in perspective. It helps me to remember, when I'm feeling deprived, that this is a choice I made, and continue to make every time I eat.

(((besides, there are lots of other ways to feel a little pleasure that don't stop the process like empty sugar calories do... )))

You're right. It's two days of trying to get rid of the sugar cravings, and I never just do that. I tend to binge for a few days first..... Thanks!

Default Flush works, too

If there's any likelihood it will come out of the trash.

Or pour soap on it.

Been there.

That's not an exaggeration for me! You are right, two days to lose the pound or two I'd gain from one stinkin piece of cake! Oh well, nothing tastes as good as thin feels (I think that's how it goes).....

Good thing you were able to toss it-- it would not have tasted as good as you think if you had eaten some, not after doing LC for so long. Also remember you don't have the ready enzymes needed to handle a big load of sugar, blood sugars could rise like they can with diabetes if you cheat. At work the favorite things brought in are tacos, pizza or donuts!

The good thing about this WOE I find it cancels out the old food temptations if you let it.

Good job for not eating that cake. I know how hard it is, but don't you feel better now? I know that when i cheat, I do a whole binge.

Default cheating

cheating scares the crap out of me. Everytime I cheat I feel like I killed somebody.

Cool

My coworkers asked me if they could buy me pizza and a cake for my birthday this year and I told them No Thank You....(They were, of course, all disappointed because birthdays are fun for them because it involves everyone getting to EAT!) "But it's your BIRTHDAY!" they cried out! "Yes, and it will STILL be my birthday...Geez, I'm gonna be a year older, I refuse to be a pound heavier!!!!"
