Default Do you guys remember me?

Do you girls and guys remember me?

I just looked at my journal for the first time since December and I can't believe people were asking for me!

I was so embarrassed to even come on here. I haven't so much as looked at the site in all this time.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant (13 weeks to go) and have gained more than 30 lbs. I had to stop CAD because I was incredibly sick for months. After that, I tried CAD and I don't know if it was a coincidence, but at my next OB appointment I had proteins in my urine. So I told the nurse my eating habits and she said I had to eat more often.

Now, though, I'm wondering. Don't most people only eat three times a day anyway? Wouldn't pregnant women and their babies be dropping dead by the dozens if "only" eating 3 (or 4) times a day was so threatening?

So I'm doing CAD again this week and have an OB appointment on Thursday. I'll see what the say about my proteins.

I'm going to start journaling again too.

I have missed this board so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and...we found out...IT'S A LITTLE BOY...we are over the moon...three boys, how could we get more lucky? He is due June 17th!

Jill and Eno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jill, I posted a quickie to your journal!

Am I ever glad to see you ladies!

It looks like everyone is doing awesome.

I am having a really hard time. Was it this hard in the beginning? I can't remember. It seems like I am eating so much more than before. And yeah, I'm pregnant, but still...

I hope my insulin will get back in check soon and that my hunger will go down. And I MUST balance. I'm getting dangerously overweight here! Not good for me or for the baby.

I just want to get back to not being hungry all the time. And oh man, when I eat carbs all day, even if NONE of them are refined, I am STARVING. All day long. I am tired of that feeling.

Please wish me luck. I want to be back in control.

H, Glendora!
My son is 2 (I can't believe it!) and I remember my woes with trying to stay on plan during pregnancy. I had terrible headaches and was shaky all the time, so I went off plan during pregnancy and for 9-10 months after birth. I am VERY sensitive to my hormones and was majorly sick for most of the time. I got high in my weight (over 200), and was down on myself the whole time! I wanted to just say that this is a WOL and to take it easy for now- you won't be pregnant for the rest of your life! (gosh I hope not!) Your baby needs the food, and honestly, you need the emotional comfort that food can bring!
If you're really concerned about the bad eating habits, try having RMs throughout the day- even if it's a snack. Hopefully by having the thirds of carbs, vegs, and protein, you'll be able to stabilize your hunger a little better. Other than that, relax and feed your baby! Your body will be in baby mode for the next two years- not only housing the little one, but in feeding mode as well (even if you don't nurse). The only regret I have is being down on myself during the process- it seems so silly now.
Good luck, good pregnancy
Edy

Glendora-
Just wanted to say that I have 3 boys and it IS wonderful! I wouldn't trade it for the world. When our third son came out, I was actually relieved that it was another boy. I'm sure I would have been excited with a girl, but I "know" boys
Also, I wouldn't call 30 lbs "dangerously" overweight! I gained 70 lbs with all three of my babies (probably more with the third but I never stepped on the scale the whole pregnancy! I had a homebirth and my midwife said that my weight didn't concern her as long as I was eating good, healthy foods Very different from the "lashings" I used to get from my OB! LOL Some women's body's just have a set amount of weight that they will gain no matter what they eat. I ate horribly with my first and really healthy with my third and gained about the same with both.
Good luck and feel free to check out my website for some good "birth reading" The birth stories will inspire you!
