Default Long time South Beachers....I need some advice!

I bought some bread today, it says it's Brown Multigrain, and it's gluten and wheat free.....I am SO lost when it comes to bread though....I mean, is it ok for me to eat on SB?

Here are the ingredients:
Water
Maize Starch
Rice Flour
Potato starch (I'm guessing this will be the problem)
Wholemeal rice flour
Soya Flakes
Millet
Vegetable fat (palm)
Buckwheet seed
Yeast
Apple juice concentrate (??)
Flavourings.

For each slice there is
76 Cals
1.7g Protien
13.6g Carbs (of which sugars 1.2g)
1.7g Fat
Fibre 1.9g
Soduim 0.2g

What do you guys think?

Its those 2 starches that bother me. I wish that you could find the Ezekiel Bread over there.

Look for ingredients that say whole grain.....or sprouted whole grain or flourless bread.

But there is really only one way to find out how you do....have a slice!! Enjoy!!

I just looked up your bread....it says it needs to be kept frozen so have a slice and stick the rest the freezer.

I also tried to find you the Ezekiel bread over there. Looks like you may have to bake your own!! Have you got a bread machine?

Have you gone to your local health food store?

I haven't got a bread machine, I looked into getting one but it was going to be expensive for the amount of time I would use it, so I decided I'd do without. When I saw that bread today I couldn't resist buying it because I thought maybe it would be a good bread to have, but I'm not bothered....if I can't have it then I can live without it.

I had a slice toasted today because I hadn't had any other starches....but to be frank, that just made me realise even more I can do without.

Thank you Judy for the advice

Thanks for the info guys, I am throwing that bread in the garbage because not only did it kick in cravings but it also upset my stomach - I had terrible tummy ache all night long!

That'll teach me not to be so hasty - should have written down those ingredients and then come here to check it out before I bought it really!

Nevermind, it's all a big learning experience right?

Thanks for your sound advice, I will take a look into the heath food stores and see what they have to offer.

I've been having success with flax bread, which doesn't have any flour in it. I've also heard that squirrely bread is over in the UK, and that is usually sprouted and has not flour. Ever seen it over there?
