Default Can cooked bacon be frozen?

I wanted to plan a few meals ahead so my boyfriend can just pop them in the microwave. I was wondering if I cooked bacon till it became very crispy and then popped it in some tupperware could it be frozen and would it still be somewhat crispy after it was microwaved? Regular bacon in the microwave just doesnt get nearly as crispy as bacon from a pan.

Yup. I do it all the time. I'd lay them flat on a large pan and freeze them until solid. Then you can, once frozen, stick them into a freezer bag and they wont' stick together when you want to use them.

If you're planninig to eat it within the same week, I think pre-cooked bacon could jsut stay in the fridge, and not have to go in the freezer.

I cook bacon ahead and freeze it all the time. It doesn't stick together and I just put it in a freezer ziplock after it cools (I drain on paper towels after cooking). But it is not crisp if heated in the microwave. I have a toaster oven and I use that to reheat so it's crispy.
I agree that if it's eaten within the week it doesn't need freezing but I cook alot at once on my griddle so I freeze part of it. I do sausage the same way.

Hmm... I seem to recall my pre-cooked bacon crisps up in the microwave just fine.

I also buy pre-cooked bacon from Costco, and if you nuke it long enough, it does get crisp.

Cooked bacon, because of the salt, the lack of moisture, the nitrates and the small amount of sugar, is practically immortal. I would say a month refrigerated no problem.
