Default Hi Everyone I Love This Idea And Hope It Works For Me I Need Help!!

HI EVERYONE I LOVE THIS IDEA AND HOPE IT WORKS FOR ME I NEED HELP!!

I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH HYPOGLYCEMIA AND HYPOTHYROIDISM BACK
17 YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN SENTENCED TO A LOW CARB DIET
EVER SINCE... BUT I CHEAT AND I AM STUDYING TO BE A PREVENTATIVE
HOLISTIC NUTRITIONIST AND I HAVE GOT TO DO THIS DIET THING RIGHT!!
I HAVE SEEN HOW MUCH BETTER I FEEL ETC.. AND KNOW ALL THE INFORMATION HAVE READ ALL THE BOOKS AND THAT DARN STRESS OR WHEN IM TIRED OR FEELING BAD GETS ME!! I NEED HELP TO DO IT WITH OTHERS BECAUSE I AM NOT DOING IT ON MY OWN. IVE GOT DOWN TO 120 BEFORE WHEN MY THYROID WAS ALL SKREWED UP BUT NOW THAT ITS BALANCED OUT IM AT 155 WHICH IS WAY TOO HEAVY FOR MY 5'4" FRAME. PLUS I AM AN ENTERTAINER /SINGER ON STAGE AND HAVE ALWAYS WEIGHED AROUND 140 .COULD GET AWAY WITH THAT..... THEN I TURNED 40 AND GAINED 10 POUNDS NOT CHANGING MY DIET JUST MY METABOLISM SLOWED DOWN. I WILL BE GOING TO MY DOCTORS SOON TO SEE IF MY THYROID IS STILL IN A GOOD RANGE.. SOMETIMES I ONLY FEEL GOOD AND KEEP MY WEIGHT DOWN IF ITS IN THE TOP OF THE NORM. IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS THIS ISSUE I WILL BE GLAD TO TALK TO YOU.; i ALSO HAVE A LOW SEROTONIN DEAL WHERE I TAKE 40 MG.S OF CELEXA AND I KNOW THE LOW SEROTONIN IS PART OF WHY I CHEAT. I HAVE TO GET THAT HIGHER AND IT DIPS NEAR MY MONTHLY CYCLE REALLY BAD THAST IS WHEN I CHEAT THE MOST. WELL ANYWAYS I LOOK LIKE I AM FILLED WITH CHIT CHAT DIDNT KNOW HOW MUCH I HAVE INSIDE HERE ITS JUST IVE NEVER HAD ANYONE TO DO THIS WITH IVE ALWAYS BEEN A LONE NO SUPPORT FOR THIS ISSUE. I LOOK FORWARD TO ANYONE HELPING ME...IVE ALWAYS BEEN THE HELPER IN MY LIFE PEOPLE ALWAYS COME TO ME, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I REALIZED I NEED HELP TOO I NEED TO BE THE ONE WHO GETS TAKEN CARE OF SOMETIMES I AM LOOOOONG OVERDUE!!! ON THIS ISSUE AND OTHERS. I DO BELIEVE MY EATING IS ALSO EMOTIONAL AS I BELIEVE IT IS FOR MANY OF US. I STARTED CHEATING ALOT MORE AFTER MY MOM DIED SIX YEARS AGO AND NOW THAT IVE LOST MY 2 CATS I HAVENT SEEMED TO GET A HANDLE BACK ON THINGS. AND THATS THE HARD PART YOU WANT A HUG AND ITS NOT THERE SO HAAGANDAAZ DOES THE TRICK, BUT ITS EMPTY IN THE LONG RUN. BEST WISHES OUT THERE AND MAY GOD HELP US ALL ON OUR JOURNEY TO HEALTH AND WELLNESS BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL!!
MY HUSBAND IS NOT A GOOD SUPPORT PERSON FOR THESE THINGS.. HES A WONDERFUL MAN BUT IS A JUNK FOOD JUNKIE THAT HAS BEEN TRYING HERE AND THERE BUT DOESNT WANT TO GET SERIOUS YET. I DO I HAVE TO I CANT BE A NUTRITIONAL CONSULTANT THAT DOESNT EXERCISE AND EATS HAGGANDAAZ AND OTHER CRAP I KNOW I SHOULDNT. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS GET MY THYROID LOOKED AT AND START A JOURNAL I THINK ... DOES ANYONE OUT THERE DO JOURNAL WRITING ABOUT THEIR FEELINGS..?? OR PERHAPS I CAN WRITE TO SOMEONE OUT THERE WHEN I NEED A REASSURANCE OF WHY NOT TO CHEAT ETC.. AND SOME FEEDBACK AS TO WHY I NEED TO STOP HURTING MYSELF AND DONT KNOW WHY I DO THAT. I THINK I MIGHT KNOW BUT CHANGING IT IS ANOTHER THING .. ALONE ANYWAYS THATS WHY IVE JOINED I WANT TO DO THIS TOGETHER WITH SOMEONE AND IM NOT JUST A taker i will give back ive always been too much of a giver and end up empty myself. that is a big realization for me. i never ask for help. well this is it folks!!

thanks and gods love to you!!!!!!!!

Welcome, Riarug. You're not alone, not at all. We talk about everything you're feeling in different threads on this board.

You mentioned being "sentenced" to low carb. If nothing else, I hope the recipes and suggestions here make you fall in love with this way of eating and get the most out of it. And yes, we do journal our thoughts; if you go to the "Journals" forum and start a thread there, it becomes your personal space and we can follow your journey.

We're all here to support and cheer you on; thanks for joining us.

Welcome to the forums - I think you'll find us a mostly helpful group!

I sure hope it's not too long before you change your mind about low carb being a sentence - most of us here think of it as a "liberation" - a freedom! As JaneDough says, there are threads covering just about every feeling and problem here - I'm sure you'll find all sorts of company.

Welcome to a great group, and best wishes.

If you don't mind, though, would you please release the ALL CAPS button? Posting in all caps is very difficult to read--and (by internet convention) is the equivalent of shouting. Thanks.

Hi ria,
Just copy it and at the top of this page in the green banner click "User CP" then click "Edit Signature". Paste it in your signature and then it will appear on all your post. You may want to go back and edit it from time to time to keep it updated but other then that you dont have to do a thing to it on the rest of your post. Hope that helps and Merry Christmas.

Hi Ria,

This is a vBulletin board, so you'll need to copy the info from the vBulletin box.
