That stuff is so gross!!! Try a TBS of PB and a couple teaspoons of splenda, blend it with a little ice. You could try adding the chocolate Hood milk or something too. I stick to Vanilla Whey protein by Solgars. I mix it with fruit, splenda, yogurt and a little water. It is much much better.

Ditto on the shake mix. Fortunately, I found mine at a salvage store so I didn't pay a lot. Still, it was horrible and a waste. The ready to drink cans (chocolate) are much, much better. Try the Atkins site. Seems like they had something on there that you could mix it with and make some type of smoothie. I dumped mine.

Gosh, I just got some and although it was not as good as another brand(can't remember the name, but If i do, I'll post) but was not too sweet but did have a little chalkiness to it until I drank it super ICE cold(semi-frozen) over even more ice. AND it keeps me full.

cinnamon seems to cut down the sweetness, half a teaspoon or so. also i use 4-5 ounces of water, an ounces of heavy cream, an ounce of club soda and a handful of ice cubes. the cream makes it...ah creamier and the club soda lightens it up, makes it a little frothy. there are better tasting protein out there, but like you, tigger, i bought a tub, and it's too expensive to chalk up to experimentation and just chuck it. and definately use a blender, shaker cups just don't do it.

It's not that bad! The trick is to make it really cold. Ice cubes and lots of cold water. Next time buy some low carb protein-- it is expensive, but they are really good.

Keto shake was the best......not in business any more. I still have 2 cans left. Here is what I do add ice and Divinci syrup SF any flavor. They are the best.

Gosh, I wish I had read the great ideas you all had to make it better tasting. I tried it twice (like I couldn't tell the first time that it was horrible) I ended up throwing the entire container out and am now little hesitant to try any of the other Atkins LC products for fear of the same yuckiness (if that's a word)

Hi Tigger,

For next time, you might try Aussie Bodies Perfect Protein, available in Coles and Woolies. It comes in chocolate and vanilla. I add a teaspoon of cocoa and a crushed Splenda tablet to the choc one, and the vanilla one is good with a few strawberries added. I add a splash of cream and cold water to both.

Cheers, matey.

Roz

Smile I've made it edible

Thank you all for your replies.

I have been playing around with it and have come up with a way of making it more edible for me.

I put some ice in the blender and crush it, put in 2 scoops of shake, a generous sprinkle of cinnamon and then a teaspoon of nestquik chocolate shake - add water - blend and drink. I know that it is probably adding carbs to it by adding the things i have but at the end of the day, I need to do what I can to make it consumable so that the $26.95AUS I spent on the tub is not wasted.

Thanks again for your tips

I don't know what everyone is talking about, I love Atkins shakes, especially the cans of Chocolate Delight. But there are two rules I always follow. Shake them up very good, shake them again, then shake them awhile longer. The second rule is the colder the better. I drink one a day, everyday.
