I am looking for ideas !
I have been LC a long time, but have recently stopped eggs and dairy (health reasons) and I find that I feel this quite limiting. Dare I say Im getting a bit tired of meat?. (I cant really do protein powders either. Very rarely I eat berries.)

I like the Paleodiet pages, but I am looking for ideas that you find most successful/ convenient.

I am a bit stuck in a rut with sliced meat/ dip for breakfast and *yawn* more meat/fish/salad/veggies for lunch and dinner. I have great success with neanderthin chilli ..... stews and plain meat...

Just looking for something that little bit different!
thankyou

During the summer I find dinner salads work well. The ingredients are fresher, they aren't as hot to make and help keep you hydrated because of all of the water in the veggies.

I like to take a big slab of top sirloin (also called London Broil, cheaper than flank steak), marinate the heck out of it (24 hours is not unusual) with a marinade that includes citrus (lemon juice is good), vinegar, Worchestershishtershire sause, a splash of sherry, hot pepper flakes, the rind of the citrus you used, some fresh rosemary and pepper. (the W. sauce usually gives enough salt)

I grill the meat on a really hot grill (if the cut is really thick, I'll cut it thinner myself) or roast it at a high temperature, and then cut it thinly across the grain. We'll eat it like that one night and then the next night I take the leftover thin slices and add them to a salad of bibb lettuce or spinach, scallions, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, feta cheese tossed with lemon juice and olive oil and fresh basil from the garden.

It's a nice break from just "meat" and gets you lots of good phytonutrients, fiber, etc...

You can also make a great taco salad without the chips.

Wilted spinach is good. Warm up bacon drippings, sautee some red onion in it until just soft, add vinegar and a little splenda and throw over a mound of fresh baby spinach with cut up boiled eggs (optional) and crumbled bacon. Toss the spinach with the hot sauce and watch it wilt. It's fantastic. Sorry I don't have measurements, I wing it each time.

Speaking of, buffalo wings are great as long as they aren't breaded. I hate deep frying so I just roast the wings on a pan in the oven until they're crispy. There's so much fat in wings that it works really well. I've got a post somewhere that talks about how to do this, but it's been a while. I now just buy mine from a place here that does nothing but wings, they're fantastic.

Good luck!

When I get bored with meat, I splurge on fruit and nuts. I'll make a nut crust of ground walnuts or almonds, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves mixed with melted butter (or you could substitute lard). I'll bake it until the crust isn't mushy. Then I'll take blueberries or raspberries (other fruits could work), cook in a pot until the berries start to break down, then I'll pour over the nut crust. To top it off, I will sprinkle more nuts on top. This is very much like a fruit cobbler. To sweeten it, add a little Stevia to the fruit.

Other ideas: Spreading almond butter on a fresh apple is delicious. Add pine nuts to vegetables you cook. Roll meats like chicken in sesame seeds or coconut and cook in coconut milk.
