Default New production job

Hi,

I started a new job today and im in training tomorrow and on the front lines next week. The place I'm going to be working is in a non airconditioned warehouse. I'll be entering data, and some lifting, fastpace on my feet the entire time. umm normally people eat and drink carbie stuff to get energy. When a person who is in ketosis is in a high pace high stress hot work place will they have the same energy as a person under the influence of carbs? I drink lots of water im going to have to drink lots more. I just don't want to passout or die. or am I being too extreme? I feel fine when I workout. so this will be like an extended workout. will my stamina remain level?

I find that, after the initial low-energy phase of low-carbing (while the body adjusts), I have more energy and endurance than before. Just keep eating enough calories to provide the fuel.

Drink a lot of cold water. Just make sure you DO have snacks. Hate to advise frankenfoods, but a very-cold Atkins shake really does give you energy. So would real LC snacks, though, like little pieces of meat or cheese.

Good luck.

thats a tough one... im willing to bet you are going to be running low on energy. maybe you could take some nuts or something to snack on if you start getting tired. Or bring a cooler with cheese sticks or something of that nature. good luck with the new job!

You can get enough calories -- even on Induction -- from meats, cheeses, eggs, etc. to give you plenty of energy. Don't sweat the carbs! Get plenty of H2O (you already know that) and have some ready snacks for those times when you need them. Devilled eggs are great and travel well to work; cheese cubes or sticks are good, too.

Congrats on the new job!

Great info, thanks you guys! I would not have thought of that I normally do not eat on breaks. I love this board! (nuts and cheese stix would be a treat) Last night I got home at 10pm and ate a half a steak and 3 cuts of micro`d spam with melted cheese. boy I will never do that again I could not fall asleep. so that will fix my sleeping issue. I have to sleep when I get home. because I have to get up early. so the eating snacks is A+ advice. tytyty
