Talking I need me one of them there Whooshes!!!

Anyone got any to spare?? I have been losing so SLOWLY it seems lately that I am wondering if I am eating too many calories or need to up my carbs or what. Here is a typical days menu. I usually eat the same thing pretty much every day and the main variation is at dinner. Breakfast and lunch are always the same.
Breakfast:
2 eggs cooked in Pam, with 1 tsp butter and 3 tbs cream and one sausage link 25 oz. water
Lunch:
2-3 cups of mixed lettuce/spinach with 1 tbs. real bacon bits, half an avocado, 3-4 grape tomatoes and some type of meat, usually a chicken breast but sometimes shrimp or tuna, and 3 tbs. ranch dressing
Dinner:
Baked Chicken breast and either asparagus, squash or green beans. If it is asparagus or squash, I bake/grill with a little olive oil.

Am I eating too much. I dont usually snack because I am not hungry. I also drink an additional 75 oz. of water during the day and 3-4 cups of green tea. Thanks for any help. (Looking at it myself it looks like a lot of food!)

I don't have any here either, perhaps whoever throws one your way they can lob one to be too??

Maybe shaking your menu up a little would help? Sometimes I find if I stick with the same meals week in week out, my body gets use to it and knows what to expect.

I'm no help...just hanging around waiting to see what wisdom others have to offer. I'm in the same boat myself. Losing slowly. Not sure whether or not up raise up my daily carb level. Eating an average 1800 cals/day for the past month.

Sad to say, but I'm actually looking forward to going back to Induction May 2nd!!

Well. I just looked through FitDay for the month of November 2004 -- a time when I was losing pretty big. Discovered that I had HUGE calories (2000+ almost every day), lower protein than I'm having now and high fats. So I'm going to try a couple of "November" menu days and see what happens.

I was eating pumpkin bake almost every day at that point - high fat but lower protein - so I'm going to make some of that today. Also was making something with Carbquik almost daily - blueberry cobbler, pancakes, muffins, etc. Must've been new to Carbquik at that time and was experiementing.

I'll let you know how that goes...

I'm having the same problem...looked back and saw that I was not eating LC wraps back then...and I have been bbq'ing alot and love a good beef hot dog on the grill...So Maybe -

The sausage at breakfast can be replaced with a slice of cheese or veggies (Omelet) just for a week or two..
And omit the bacon bits on the salad just for two weeks straight.

I'll stop using the LC wraps and quit buying hot dogs (at least till Memorial day)

Otherwise, at our height..I think calories DO count..I try to stay at 900 during the week and 1200 on the weekends. Remember we are "smaller" then we were back then.

Good Luck

I just had a woosh! I take GNC water pills. I only take them every other week on Monday and Tuesday of the week. Usually I have a 2-4lbs woosh. I am not sure what it is. Maybe my body likes to hold on to the extra water. I would give this a try. Can't hurt can it?

Never had water pills before. If I am drinking lots of water and also take water pills what will happen? Will it make me lose too much water?

I seem to vary my intake on a daily basis. I am always low carb, under 20-25 grams a day, but my protein and calories changes every single day. I think the more my body is confused by this WOE the less likely it is to adapt and fight back. Plus it lets me eat more on days where I have an appetite and less on the days when I don't. I don't have a lot of whooshes but lose weight quite steadily.

Yeah, me too... I need about a 15lb woosh! I find that if I up my fat to about 80% once in awhile that I get one.

This WOE is a well documented diuretic. Taking water pills is NOT a good idea.

you diet plan looks just like mine and i lose fine (ok.. fine by atkins standard). of course 5 lbs a week would be even better. i do exercise almost daily though. 30 min walk at work. and also one hour daily either cardio or wt combo or kickboxing or bootcamp etc. and i would skip the water fills and energy pills or any other stupid supplement you are thinking about feeding into your face to up wt loss. step away from the supplements.

I have not been exercising like I wold like to. I have started walking 3 days a week when I can but I am by no means sitting around all day long. I havent been this weight in years so maybe I am at a mini set point for awhile. I have been having bad cravings over the last few days but I havent caved. Hubby is going to pick me up some strawberries for a snack later. I am not going to try any water pills or other supplements. I have wasted my money in the past so I have learned on that one.
