Question Almond Flour?

Has anyone used this? Is it expensive? Where did you find it?

I was watching Food Network and the guy on Low Carb and Lovin' It used it in a pumpkin cake.......found a couple recipes on this site that call for it......just curious.

TIA~

Shannon

It's just finely ground almonds. You can find it in many grocery stores, health food stores and where they sell nuts.

It's good and there are a number of wonderful recipes here in the Sweet Treats section. It's about the same $$ as any nuts.

So, it'll be by the nuts and not the flours? I'll have to look closer next time I'm at the market!

Thanks!

Or you can make your own. Just buy the nuts and grind them or use a food processor. You can do this with any nuts to make the flour.

www.netrition.com has almond flour. I haven't put in an order to them just yet but a couple of the girls on the boards use this company with no problems.
