Default had a chaat night

HI All,

Well, I'm not feeling guilty over it, but i had a cheat day yesterday. It really wasnt that bad. First let me say that I finished my 14 day induction period and lost 10 pounds....yaaay!

I know yesterday was day one of my next phase (i'm doing south beach), but I really thought that i deserved a "cheat day." So for dinner I had some regular (not wheat) macaroni with a grilled chicken breast. I didnt have too much macaroni, but enough to satisfy my desire. Then a few hours later I had a little cookies-n-cream ice cream. When I say a little, I mean a little....probably just shy of what they call a reguar serving size.

So I do have a question. Do a lot of low carbers out there allow themselves to cheat once every few weeks? I figure if I do good for 14 days, I deserve a break in between....as long as I dont overdue it.

This week I start to introduce carbs back in my diet. I am not going to introduce as much as they say just yet...but I will be having some wheat bread.

Okay, thats it. I just wanted to throw that question out to all of you.

Continued success to you all!!!

-Anthony

Check out the CAD book or section in this forum. They allow a cheat every week or something.

Default Tricia

I did the same thing! I had finished Induction (lost 12 pounds) and so had a planned treat! I had 1/2 cup of ice cream! New York Strawberry Cheesecake! YUMMY! Within the hour I felt terrible! I had followed Induction faithfully and the sudden intro of preservatives, high carbs, and all that sugar! When I got up the next day I hadn't gained weight! So, I thought the damage wasn't going to happen. Not so. I stopped losing weight! 3 days later I gained 2 pounds! I stalled out for 4 days before I lost the weight I had gained plus I lost 2 pounds more. The planned treats are not worth it unless I make a wiser choice. Next time I will make a low carb treat from scratch. As for planned days off: Thanksgiving meal and Christmas Eve annual family party. And if I am on track with my Chrismas goals then October 11th. Hope I have helped!

I don't have a cheat day ( but I dream of it!) only because it sets you way back unlike other diets....but I do fix a big pan of atkins flan and then put it in the blender ( makes a creamy pudding) and then eat ALL of it once in a while
