Talking "it Has Begun!!!"

Sorry for the shout, I hope it didn't wake you.... I had noticed a few things this week that was very interesting to me.

You see, I changed up my diet a bit this week to allow myself the comfort of more calories (I'm a big dude) and originally, though low carb I also was low calorie 6 very small meals a day...now dont get me wrong I lost TREMENDOUS amount of weight doing it 18 pounds in 5 weeks is not too shabby but probably fast if you have to lose 100 pounds.

My plan is pretty simple I use the Metabolic Diet plan (Higher Calories) now that allows for 2 weekend days to raise my carbs as long as I adhere to a strict monday - friday of low carb (under 20 grams).

However, the first weekend I broke fast (I stopped the 1,000 calorie a day diet) I decided to use THAT day as my carb days.... bad idea, since my caloric intake was much much higher than my adjusted calories AND it was carbs on top of that...many of my hard earned weeks were lost in a matter of a few days.

Well, I am back down to my original 300 pounds now, and after a self induced 2 weeks of low carbs (like induction?) I will now see how a weekend according to the good Doctor works out.

If you are interested Dr. Mauro Dipascale www.metabolicdiet.com is a very sincere Doctor who has an affinity for powerlifting and bodybuilders. Any bodybuilders who are into the scene will recognize him from his famous "Anabbolic Diet"

He was called in to keep the WWF wrestlers as huge as possible through natural foods and supplements once they all got in trouble for steroids

Anyway for those interested I am going to report back and see how much I gain over the weekend (my goal and guess is now that I am acclimated to higher calories and fat burning it shouldnt be much) I am hoping it will be a gain of 2-3 because I am losing about 5 a week at the moment. Which I feel is too much being that I want to let it all down nice and easy.

Besides 80 pounds in 40 weeks sounds darn good to me as long as it stays off

Have a great weekend!

Trinsdad,
I'm by no means any kind of expert, but I just have to wonder if 1000 calories per day isn't too low for a man. I hope this works out well for you, however you do it. I'm not preaching to you, just concerned.
Susan

No, I think you misread me...I WAS at 1,000 calories a day. It was too hard for me to do even though the plan was only short term.

What happened was I broke that on a friday ...when I started my new plan I made the mistake of allowing it to be on the day I eat carbs....well, you know what happens when you go low carb and low calorie and then have 2 free days of mad craziness...needless to say it wasnt pretty ...

SO I am up to 2,000 - 2,500 calories a day for the last 2 weeks and have lost all my weight that I was supposed to...I am just going to see if I am right (hopefully) that I wont gain as much weight over the weekend now that I get carbs again.

Oh, that makes alot more sense. At least you won't have to be hungry. I hate carb hangovers. They turn me into someone else, a very unpleasant someone else.
