Unhappy I'm going on ten years looking like this. Here's where I change.

undefinedundefined I have done low-carbing like a bus in New york City, stopping more often than I progress. I began it back in 1999 and kicked butt. I looked great. Some fool convinced me since I was stalled out to try the Zone and I've never got back into it again like I did. I always get very dehydrated, constipated and it takes me a long time to see any results. But I know scientifically, it rewires ones body to burn fat. It just takes awhile when you've already done it before.

I'll be 40 in February and I've been fat since 8/93. A lot of low-fat BS finally brought me to low-carbing. I have tried other things lately, thinking I was too poor to buy LC stuff. Then I realized, my freezer is stocked with many of the meats I've bought that my DH doesn't care for but I do. Chicken breast, white fish, soy/beef patties, turkey sausage... He likes sandwiches, real beef hamburgers, chicken patties and fish sticks... Let him have them. I'm going to take step one AGAIN. I'll make me a cupboard of my stuff and my kids and DH, who turn their nose up at most of my LC fare, will watch Mama get gorgeous.

I have three kids... The oldest is my daughter. I have an eight year old son and a toddler, a girl. I breastfed all of them a year + each and I think that although I did the best for them, it helped to slow down my metabolism. I like Lifelift for exercise. Anyway, when I realized my daughter will be eleven in August and it was my pregnancy with her that made me heavy (I had complications,) I have been fat for over ten years. Time to keep that in mind and pretend I have never did this before. I'll get some SF jello, maybe even a package of SF pudding, some real whipped cream, make sure I have the veggies I need, and cook up a bunch of the meat only I like. And begin. This time I shall not turn back until I lose 40#.

Thanks for "listening."

Thumbs up Welcome!

You've come to the right place! I suggest you start up a journal so your new friends here can pop in and check on your progress. This board has been sooo helpful for me!
You sound strong and ready to go! Keep it up, girlfriend!
