Talking Leaving The 3rd Century

Good Day!!

This morning I left the third century behind me - for good! I am now working my way towards onederland by following the low carb road....

This was the first goal I had set for myself, to be under 300 lbs for the first time in a few years. My mom is flying in from Seattle tonight, and she is going to take in about 4 pairs of my pants. I have had to put two new holes in my belt and the new measurements are going to be taken tonight!

As a family, we have now lost 63lbs - my DW has lost 19 lbs, and my 8 year old son has lost 10 lbs, and I have lost 34 lbs.

The best part is that because of all the new products coming out, and the increased awareness of this type of diet - we no longer feel like we are depriving ourselves to eat this way. 8 years ago this WOE was much tougher

Onwards and Downwards!!!

Woohoo! Congratulations to you and your family! I'm sure you must be so happy! Great job.

I would encourage you to not think about how far you have to go. Take it one pound at a time and one day at time and before you know it, you'll be there!

Have a great visit with your mom!

Wonderful, Jim!!! You are doing so well and I love your philosophical approach that I have seen in your other posts. You have hit the nail right on the head so many times!

Many more successes!!!

WAY TO GO!!!!

And just think, soon you'll wake up like I did this morning and you'll "only" have 100 pounds to go to your goal weight . . .

And then, you'll wake up one day and think, "hmmm. I no longer have "triple digits" left to lose!"

This WOE is terrific! Keep us informed of your progress! I for one am always motivated by the successes of others on this thread!!

I'm glad your family is supportive. That's important.

As for those pants, well, you might just have to splurge and buy a new pair or two!

Sue
