Being heavy I allways hid from any camera shot nomatter what I was wearing etc... Now that Im getting back in shape I find that I am still SCARED of the camera.I do NOT let myself be photographed if at all possible. How are all of you about getting your picture taken ? This is a fear I plan to work on.

I use to hid too. But now I stand proudly. And soon I'll be a total camera hog, just like before.

Always have been! I hate the way I look in pictures, and I hate being reminded that I don't look the way I think I look and that therefore people see me differently than I do.

I hate taking pictures!! There is always something wrong usually the fact that I can see what I look like to other people!! I am just not one that like cameras of any type video or still!!

I always used the excuse I was the one taking the pictures..... when really there was a reason for that. I DON'T WANT TO BE IN THEM..... working on that. Once I've lost some I hope it gets easier.

I use to RUN from the camera, would make up excuses why I did not want my picture taken, but NOW! Wow, I am right there Trying to get in on the pictures. I love, love, love it. It proves to me that all of my hard work has paid off because I look so much different now that I have already shed 30 pounds.

I am still a "runner"

I used to run like mad; now, I just hold my breath and pretend to smile. We have to take pictures EVERY YEAR for the yearbook and IDs. I had last year's ID with me when this year's picture showed up--man, I can see the difference!

I hated my picture taken when I was bigger. I still look big to myself when I see pictures of me. But,,,, I try to have a few taken since I have 3 children and I want them to have some of me in case anything ever happens to me and that is all they have. That would always make me let someone take a few of myself. Sorry to be morbid but its a thought.

I so agree with what Bruhahn said. When I was younger, I never would be in a picture. Now, as I approach 50 I realilze how precious life is, and I regret the years that I did not want pictures taken of me. Pictures are precious to our children and families no matter what!

I haven't had a picture taken of me since losing weight, but I don't think I will mind it as much now. We'll be going to Disneyland soon and I'm actually looking forward to lots of pictures with my husband and little girl.

I'm the family photographer -- and I really don't like being photographed! For Valentines Day my DH and I went out to dinner and I thought I looked great in the mirror after losing 10 lb. But then I had our babysitter take a pic of us with my digital camea and I was so disappointed in how I looked -- much heavier than I see myself. I guess my self perception is actually more favorable than the reality! I've decided for now to avoid the camera -- it's kind of a downer for me.

I hate the camera too. When I was heavier I avoided it because I didn't want to see the real me. The camera never lied, but somehow my mirror did, for a long time.
And now when I see new pictures, I do recognize that I am alot smaller, but I still cringe.

I am the picture taker, intentionally. That way I don't get photographed often. I also carry the biggest camera, with the biggest lens and largest flash that most of you have probably ever seen.

Hint: The big camera makes ME appear smaller.
